Metalsmithing: Prong Set Pendant

In this one day class, we will learn the versatile technique of securing objects into silver with prong settings, by making a stone pendant. The workshop will involve sawing a silver backplate, designing a unique prong pattern, soldering and forming the prongs, and setting and finishing the pendant. Participants will go home with a beautiful piece of jewelry to keep or give as a special gift. Due to the small class size, the workshop is open to any level of experience and will be catered to your specific goals. Sterling silver, an oval cabochon, and silver chain will be provided, however you are welcome to bring your own stone to set.
