In this workshop, participants will make original, one of a kind prints while learning about the additive method of monoprinting. After an introduction to the press and tools, we will demonstrate the application of ink directly to a flat printing plate by brayer rolling, brushing, and stamping. Everyone will then have time to experiment with inking and layering on plates, and then pulling prints on an intaglio press. This method of monoprinting leads to richly colored abstract prints and each participant will take home a few small hand made prints. Open to all levels of experience.

This workshop can be taken together with Monoprinting: Found Objects and Textures on 5/7/22 or on its own.
